Kathie Herbst Okun has been serving her clients in the areas of financial and estate planning for more than 25 years. Kathie has become a respected member of the industry while building her practice through client based referrals. She lives in the Baltimore County area with her husband and daughter.

Kathie has had a long standing relationship with many clients, and she is also well regarded in the industry by her peers. She has many years of MDRT level standings, (Million Dollar Round Table, an industry achievement level) as well as Chairman’s Counsel level and Royal Blue status levels with the star companies that she represents. She is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Women’s President’s Organization. Kathie was named Enterprising **Woman of the Year in 2014, she was listed as a FIVE STAR WEALTH MANAGER* in Baltimore Magazine in 2014, 2015 and 2019. Kathie is also a board member of the Enterprising Women’s Magazine.

Kathie has completed courses through The American College. Since 1927, The American College strives to provide financial professionals with the skills they need in order enhance their business performance. The college is accredited by the The Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college champions those who seek higher levels of learning in financial services, banking, securities, and insurance.

Chartered Financial Consultant

The ChFC includes courses such as Estate Planning, Life Insurance, Investments, and Planning for Retirement needs.

LUTCF, Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow

The LUTCF curriculum includes courses such as Leadership in a Changing World, Leading in the Office Environment, and Creative Problem-Solving & Strategic Planning. Continuing education requirements include testing every two-years regarding ethics.
